Macbooks Pro, Macbook Air and Windows PC

rodneyb News No Comments

The history of Macbooks comes a long way. It started in May of 2006 when the new Macbook computers were marketed for the first time to replace the iBook and the 12-inch screen PowerBook. It is a part of the Apple-Intel transition which aimed for the consumers in the educational markets.

Soon afterwards, Macbook has become one of the best-selling Macintosh computers in the history of the United States of America. The company finally stops producing the Macbook on July 20th, 2011 in order to make way for the new Macbook air though the Macbooks are still in production but only for the educational institutions.

When people start to decide which notebooks to buy, they usually are torn between whether to get a Macbook or a PC. Let’s have a look at the differences between the Mac and PC computers.

The Macbook Pro comes in 3 different screen sizes, 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch. Macbook Pro comes with the Intel Core i7, quad-core processor. All Macbook Pro is providing the users with twice as fast the speed for both the processor and for the graphic processor than the previous generation.

Macbook Air comes in 2 screen sizes, 11-inch and 13-inch. It is the light weight computer with ultrathin and ultra light aluminium unibody. It is powered by a dual-core Intel Core i5 or i7 with 2GB-4GB memory models with DDR3 onboard memory (for the 11-inch and the 13-inch screens).

These features provide the users with more frame per second in 3D games or for work needed to be done on the HD video projects with faster speed and responsiveness than previous generations computers.

Obviously, we all know that PC computers come in so many sizes and models. Today’s Mac and PC both run on the same processor which is the Intel Core 2 Duo with the same technology.

The OS in Windows are known to be unreliable and troublesome to fix. The Mac OS X is based on the UNIX’s solid core and Apple provides a large and thorough database of users’ guides and help. The OS X is known for receiving many awards as the best operating system from countless magazines’ reviews. The OS X is, so far, the best OS out there in the market today. It’s reliable, high quality performance and easy to use.

Now when you decide to buy a new computer, you can find cheap Macbooks from various online sources such as Amazon.com or eBay.com. There are many 2nd hand computers that are in pristine conditions and they are sold for almost half the price of a new one while they can perform just the same.
